UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 2 — Yesterday, Russians attacked Kupiansk, causing a fire at the first aid station and injuring a man and a woman, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

Syniehubov reports that, on October 1, Russians attacked the Kupiansk district six times, damaging residential buildings, outbuildings, and garages and causing fires at the hit sites.

The Russian shelling caused two outbuildings and a garage to catch fire in the village of Vasyltsivka in the Dvorichna community. In Kindrashivka of the Kupiansk community, four residential buildings and five outbuildings were damaged by shelling. 

In Myrne of the Kupiansk community, five hectares of grass, 12 households, and eight outbuildings were burned as a result of the shelling.

The shelling of the village of Bohuslavka in the Borova community caused 20 hectares of forest, four houses, ten outbuildings, and a clubhouse to burn.

On September 27, during briefing, Oleh Ivanov, the manager of the department for protection and safety in the charity Coordination Humanitarian Center said that on average, about 100 people are evacuated from the left bank of the Oskil River in Kharkiv Oblast every day, but even that pace isn’t enough to evacuate all people living there quickly.
