The pace of the Russian offensive on the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line has slowed somewhat due to losses among soldiers and equipment. Russian army units are currently rotating and replenishing their resources, indicating their intention to resume the offensive in the Kupyansk direction.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said this during a briefing.

“Ukrainian forces remain strong. About a month ago, the gray zone increased due to the outbreak of combat operations there, which is logical, as even more troops are involved in the hostilities. However, we have not lost any positions and control the situation. In case of danger, we will make a decision to evacuate the local population, but there are no reasons for that,” Syniehubov added.

He also added that Russian troops continue to carry out almost daily air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops in order to break through the defense. The number of air attacks on the local population has increased over the past week, particularly in the Vovchansk direction.
