UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jul 25 — Russian troops conducted air and artillery strikes on three settlements in the Kupiansk district. The shelling killed one man and injured another, reported the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.
At about 5:10 a.m., the Russian army launched an air strike on the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi of the Kupiansk community, injuring a 52-year-old man.
Law enforcement officials reported the Russians used an FAB-1500 bomb with a UMPK [universal planning and correction module — ed.] to attack Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.
At about 5:15 a.m., the village of Podoly in the Kurylivka community came under Russian artillery fire. The attack killed a 48-year-old man.
Also, in the morning, the Russian armed forces carried out an air strike on the village of Prykolotne in the Vilkhuvata community. The Russian army dropped a glide bomb (UMPB D-30) on the village.
“The enemy shelling damaged only civilian infrastructure: residential buildings, outbuildings, shops, and cars,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
