KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Mar 1 — The Russian military launched 2,321 attacks in the Kharkiv Oblast between February 24, 2022, and February 28, 2024, including 1,917 rocket attacks and 340 attacks from multiple rocket launchers, the Main Department of the National Police in the Kharkiv Oblast said in response to a request from Gwara Media.
Volodymyr Tymoshko, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Police, said that the Russian full-scale invasion killed 2,419 civilians in the Kharkiv Oblast, including 87 children.
According to him, the Russian army killed 660 residents of the Oblast in 2023, including five children, and 56 people and seven children in two months of 2024.
The Russian military injured 3,517 civilians, including 687 in 2023 and 236 in 2024.
Tymoshko noted that since February 24, 2022, investigators started 1,936 criminal proceedings into the disappearance of 2,211 citizens, including 1,261 men, 683 women, and 267 children.
As of February 23, 2024, investigators are conducting pre-trial investigations in 483 criminal proceedings on the disappearance of 566 civilians under special circumstances, including 343 men, 135 women, and 88 children.
On February 29, the Russian military shelled Vovchansk in the Chuhuiv district twice with artillery and drones. The attack injured an 18-year-old boy.
