KHARKIV OBLAST, JAN 17 — The Russian army hit Vovchansk in the Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed about this in a morning report.

More than 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts came under artillery fire.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous directions and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

Tamaz Hambarashvili, head of the Vovchansk City Military Administration, said that over the past two weeks, the Russian military has been using guided aerial bombs in the border town of Vovchansk and the community in the Chuhuiv district of the Kharkiv Oblast.
