KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, JAN 12 — Russia’s constant attacks complicate the restoration of electricity in the frontline areas.
Recently, in the village of Lyptsi in the Kharkiv Oblast, power engineers came under Russian fire while repairing the power grid. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported this during a briefing.
He said the services restore 100 to 1,000 electricity supply points daily.
“Every day, we restore 100 to 1,000 electricity supply points and lose almost the same amount as a result of Russian hostile shelling of border settlements,” said Syniehubov.
Currently, about 16,000 consumers in the Kharkiv Oblast are without power. These are mostly border settlements.
