UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 21 — In the Kupiansk direction, Russians tried to seize the Oskil River crossing and probably expand their offensive on the left bank. Ukrainian troops repelled the Russian offensive, reported the National Guard of Ukraine.

One of the main goals of the Russian full-scale war is to capture the remainder of occupied Luhansk and Donetsk Oblast; their operations on the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line are dedicated to that. From this section of the frontline, they also aim to push into Kharkiv Oblast and re-occupy Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, important logistics hubs for the region.  

“Achilles” drone battalion , together with the guardsmen of the “Burevii” brigade and border guards of the “Pomsta” brigade, and air assault troops of the 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade repelled the Russian armored vehicles and infantry in the Kupiansk direction. .

Ukrainian army  destroyed eight Russian infantry fighting vehicles and three tanks, and damaged six infantry fighting vehicles. In addition, the Defense Forces killed 21 Russian troops and injured 26 others.

The General Staff reported that over the past day, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions 12 times in the Kupiansk direction, near six settlements. The Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks near Holubivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova, Pishchane, Vyshneve, and Novoosynove.
