UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 30 — Over the past day, Russian troops used anti-drone guns with nets near Hlyboke in the Kharkiv region, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.
Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)
The military reported that today, in the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army conducted logistical operations near Lukiantsi and Starytsia. Near Lukiantsi, the Russians set up a communication system, and near Starytsia, they provided engineering equipment for defensive positions. They also continue the personnel rotation near the village of Tykhe.
Near Hlyboke, the “Kharkiv” reports, the Russians regrouped at the frontlines and deployed equipment for fortification building.
In Vovchansk, the Russian military continues to storm the high-rise building neighborhood. They are also conducting aerial reconnaissance with drones to detect Defense Forces units and test the communication system.
The “Kharkiv” reported that over the past day, the Russian Army conducted 28 kamikaze drone strikes in the Kharkiv direction and fired 385 times at the positions of the Defense Forces.
The Russian army lost 85 troops in the Kharkiv direction over the day, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.
Also, the Ukrainian troops destroyed 85 units of weapons and military equipment in the Kharkiv direction, including two tanks, two armored combat vehicles, one anti-tank vehicle, one air defense system, two artillery systems, 15 vehicles, three units of special equipment, and 43 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
