UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 30 — Over the past day, the Russian army lost 87 troops in the Kharkiv direction, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.
Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)
The “Kharkiv” reported that in Vovchansk, Russian troops rotated personnel to improve logistics and replenish current losses. The Russians also replaced the firing positions of the artillery units near Shebekyne (Russia).
Near Ohirtseve, Russians intensified aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to detect Ukrainian Defense Forces units, “Kharkiv” wrote.
Over the past day, the Russian military conducted four airstrikes in the Kharkiv direction using six glide bombs (KABs), launched 47 kamikaze drone strikes, and fired 321 times at Ukrainian positions.
According to “Kharkiv”, the Russians also lost 69 weapons and military equipment units, including one tank, one armored combat vehicle, four artillery systems, 11 vehicles, four special vehicles, one air defense system, 47 UAVs, 64 personnel shelters, one UAV launch pad, and one ammunition storage site.
