Security Service of Ukraine officers have detained a 29-year-old resident of Bohodukhiv district. He is suspected of collaborating with the Russian military during the occupation of Kharkiv region.

“During the capture of the towns and villages, he helped the Russian invaders get orientated on the ground and choose the territory for the arrangement of minefields. Among the mined areas were local roads and paths used by civilians in the area,” the statement said.
The SSU also states that the suspect passed the addresses of resistance members in the region to the occupiers, who then kidnapped and tortured people. He and his accomplices also robbed the houses of residents who had moved to the Ukraine-controlled territory. In particular, they stole cars, household appliances, furniture, etc.
He was detained after the de-occupation of Kharkiv Oblast. The man is suspected of aiding the aggressor state. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
