Mar. 12 — Louis Vuitton, a French luxury fashion house, used art pieces of Nazar Strelyaev-Nazarko, an artist from Kharkiv, for its new clothing collection by fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière, said the artist.
Strelyaev-Nazarko was born in Kharkiv and currently lives and works in Milan, Italy.
Ghesquière used the artist’s 2023 Paramnesia picture, changing the original look. For the collection, the sheep from the painting were “shod” with luxury Louis Vuitton boots. The fragments of the changed paintings were placed on Ghesquière’s skirts, sleeves, and shirts.
The collection was presented at the Louvre Museum.
“There was also something very special about seeing my paintings within the walls of the Louvre… becoming part of the garments themselves,” said Strelyaev-Nazarko on his Instagram.
