Thanks to the Dutch and Ukrainian benefactors’ cooperation, Kharkiv Oblast rescuers received a fire engine and six trucks.
This was reported by the Head Office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast.
In February 2023, the Dutch partners “BAS World” and “RENEWI NEDERLAND B.V.” purchased the equipment and delivered it to Kharkiv with the help of Ukrainian philanthropist Oleg Kiiashko.
The cars will transport cargo during emergency rescue operations, deliver humanitarian aid, as well as provide rescuers with water for large and protracted fires extinguishing.
“This vehicle is designed for extinguishing fires at the airfield, but in current conditions, it can also be used for extinguishing fires at infrastructure facilities. Moreover, it`s suitable for extinguishing fires at oil refinery facilities with the presence of flammable substances. It can also be used to deliver water in case of large fires. The vehicle`s capacity is 10 tons of water,” Vladyslav Vinnikov, head of the regular shift of the Head Office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast said.
Earlier, Kharkiv rescuers received heavy equipment from German charitable organizations.
