The Balakliia community residents received humanitarian aid from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation (HGBF) and the American Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) organization, Kharkiv Oblast Council reported.

An energy generator was delivered to the Balakliia Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine to provide medical assistance to the residents.

Moreover, more than 400 food kits, as well as personal hygiene products and other essential items were distributed among residents of the liberated settlements.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, last week the regional humanitarian headquarters distributed more than 14,000 food kits among the communities of Kharkiv Oblast.

Along with the food kits, more than 24,000 liters of oil, 26,4 tons of clothes, and 234 kilograms of baby food were also handed over.

Moreover, the displaced persons who are currently staying at the Lozova College of Arts received one hundred mattresses, pillows, blankets, sets of bed linen, and 50 sets of dishes from the United Nations humanitarian mission.

Earlier this week, the hematology analyzer worth ~$5000 was handed over to the doctors of the settlement of Valky in Kharkiv Oblast thanks to cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation.

HGBF is an organization founded by American businessman Howard Buffett, which supports projects in the fields of agriculture, nutrition, water resources, humanitarian aid, nature conservation, and conflicts.

GEM is an American disaster relief nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope and opportunities for people affected by catastrophes. It has been helping Ukrainian refugees and communities since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
