UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 24 — On the morning of May 23, Russian troops attacked Liubotyn, a city 13 miles from Kharkiv, with S-300 and S-400 missiles, damaging the railway station, Gwara Media reports from the site.
Russia attacks Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city 19 miles from the state border, and its suburbs frequently — even more so since the beginning of their new ground offensive from north and northeast of the Kharkiv region on May 10.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports that Russian missile attacks injured eight people, including six railroad workers. The Russians also damaged cars, shops, a local park, buildings, and a pedestrian bridge over the tracks.
The Regional Prosecutor’s Office informs that the Russians attacked from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian Railways notes that trains continued to run on schedule.
On May 23, at about 10:25 a.m., Russia attacked Kharkiv and Kharkiv suburbs with 15 missiles, killing at least seven people and injuring 21 in the Osnovianskyi district of the city.
Also, on the afternoon of May 23, the Russian army dropped a guided bomb (KAB) on Derhachi in the Kharkiv region, injuring 13 people. An elderly man and woman are in the hospital. Two women with acute stress reactions were also hospitalized, and nine other people received on-site medical assistance.
In total, over the past day, the Russian army injured 40 people in Kharkiv and the region.
