UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 8 — Yesterday, the Russians shelled the village of Zolochiv in Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv region, damaging 16 houses and two more two-story apartment buildings, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

Oleh Syniehubov said that there was another attack near the village of Myronivka, where the Russian shelling caused the grass to burn over an area of two hectares.

Russian mortar attack on the village of Perovske in the Zolochiv community damaged a house and power lines.

Viktor Kovalenko, head of the Zolochiv military settlement administration, told Gwara media that the Russians also destroyed a private household.

In Kupiansk, the Russians dropped a glide bomb on an outdoor gym on the territory of an educational institution, injuring a 35-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman.
