UKRAINE, Oct 11 —Today, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Berlin for a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. During the meeting, Scholz announced a new aid package worth 1.4 billion euros for Ukraine.

On October 11, at a government meeting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that the permanent representatives of the EU member states had agreed to provide Ukraine with special financial assistance worth €35 billion through the use of frozen Russian assets. Ukraine will receive the funds by the end of this year.

The military aid package will include air defense systems, drones, radars, munitions, armored vehicles, and Gepard anti-aircraft guns.

“By the end of the year, with the support of our partners — Belgium, Denmark, Norway — we will deliver another package worth €1.4 billion to Ukraine,” Scholz said.

He also added that Ukraine has already received a new package worth €600 million, which includes the fifth IRIS-T SLM system, tanks, howitzers, ammunition, and drones.

In addition, Germany will continue to support Ukraine in 2025. Germany has already included €4 billion in its budget to support Ukraine.
