During the day, 95 combat engagements took place. The Russian army launched a total of 28 missile and 27 air strikes, and fired 59 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas, according to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian troops attacked Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Podoly, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, and Pishchane in Kharkiv Oblast from aviation.

Russian troops in the Slobozhanskyi sector are positioned in the border areas, conducting sabotage to prevent Ukrainian troops from moving to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod region.

More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Russians are deploying additional forces near Kupiansk and are preparing for new assaults on Ukrainian positions, Volodymyr Fitio, Ground Forces Command spokesman, told during a telethon.

On December 6, around 9:30 a.m., the Russian army shelled Podoly of the Kupiansk district. Two local women were injured. One was hospitalized, and the other was provided first aid. 

Ukrainian artillery on the Kupiansk axis destroyed a Russian electromagnetic warfare system with HIMARS. Special operation forces helped direct fire at a station.
