UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 7 — In the Kupiansk direction, there were 12 combat clashes near Kucherivka, Novoosynove, Kruhliakivka, Vyshneve, Synkivka, and Stelmakhivka, reported the General Staff.
One of the main goals of the Russian full-scale war is to capture the remainder of occupied Luhansk and Donetsk Oblast; their operations on the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line are dedicated to that. From this section of the frontline, they also aim to push into Kharkiv Oblast and re-occupy Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, important logistics hubs for the region.
In the Kharkiv direction, the Ukrainian military repelled six Russian assaults near the village of Starytsia and the city of Vovchansk. Russians also conducted airstrikes in Vovchansk and Kozacha Lopan.
On October 3, the Kharkiv group of forces reported that the 13th National Guard Brigade “Khartia” conducted a successful offensive operation near Lyptsi in the Kharkiv direction. The troops captured seven Russian positions and destroyed an anti-tank missile system and a howitzer.
