On July 13, the official delegation of the Czech Republic paid an official visit to Kharkiv, the City Council informed.
The Commissioner of the Government of the Czech Republic for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Tomáš Kopechny, met with Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. The Mayor thanked the people of the Czech Republic for their support and offered cooperation.
“We are open to investors. I guarantee that all procedures will be quick and transparent. Everything that depends on the city will be done quickly,” Ihor Terekhov emphasized.
The Mayor invited Czech entrepreneurs to take part in the restoration of transport infrastructure, particularly the reconstruction of the subway, public transport depots, and the implementation of the municipal taxi project, as well as the projects in other sectors – construction, energy, and the military-industrial complex.
For his part, Tomáš Kopechny reported that preparations for a more extended visit of Czech partners to Kharkiv in September, in which representatives of about 30 companies from the Czech Republic plan to participate, are underway.
Moreover, Kharkiv Governor Oleh Syniehubov discussed the restoration of medical and educational institutions and other social facilities in the liberated territories and assistance to the energy infrastructure of Kharkiv Oblast.
Equipment for the efficient production of thermal and electric energy received with the assistance of the Czech Republic was handed over to Chuhuiv.
Earlier: Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the Mayor of the American city of Albuquerque, Timothy Keller, signed a protocol of intentions to establish twinning relations between the cities.
