Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, an informant of the Russian special services who supported Russian air attacks in Kharkiv region was sentenced to imprisonment.

Following her tip, the occupiers carried out missile attacks on residential areas of Kharkiv. According to the information provided by the woman, the Russian Armed Forces shelled hospitals and commercial establishments in the city. The attacks resulted in civilian casualties and destroyed the city’s residential and social infrastructure.

The criminal also tried to find out the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard units deployed in Kharkiv.

SSU counter-intelligence officers detained the woman during a special operation in Kharkiv region in April 2022. The court sentenced her to 11 years in prison.

The investigation established that the informant was a resident who began cooperating with the Russians from the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
