UKRAINE, JAN 11 — Ukraine does not have enough resources to shoot down all the S-300 missiles that Russia uses to fire at Kharkiv, said Yurii Ihnat, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, during a telethon.
According to Ihnat, the best method is to destroy the missile launchers on the territories where the attacks are coming from. This requires high-precision weapons to reduce the number of Russian S-300 batteries on the front line.
“It is clear that we will not have the means to shoot down the thousands of S-300 missiles that Russia has in its warehouses. Therefore, the best method is to destroy these launchers on the territory where the missiles are launched. We need to have enough high-precision, powerful weapons to reduce the number of batteries and S-300 divisions that Russia has deployed along the front line”, the statement said.
Civilians should go to the shelter when an air alert is announced due to the threat of ballistic missile attacks to protect themselves from S-300 missiles, Ihnat said.
