These are the most common reasons for anxiety among Ukrainians.
The International Organization for Migration launched a survey, “Your feelings matter, too,” to research anxiety among Ukrainians in July 2023. The IOM reported that results indicate that the biggest source of anxiety for Ukrainians is a lost home or fear of losing one. 40% of Ukrainians are worried about that.
15% of respondents fear for the safety and future of their children. They are afraid of losing loved ones (13%) and experience burnout and fear for the future (10%). 9% of Ukrainians are anxious because of arguments with their family, and 7% – because of sleep issues.
The survey has been conducted online and offline – people were offered to participate in cafés of Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Ternopil, Kherson, Dnipro, and Kharkiv.
