UKRAINE, Nov 11 – On November 10, the Russian army used a record number of Shahed and other drones to attack Ukrainian territory, announced President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Russia frequently uses drones to attack Ukraine, targeting both civilian and critical infrastructure. These drones serve as a more cost-effective yet destructive alternative to missiles, causing extensive damage across urban and rural areas alike.

Zelenskyy said that overnight, the Russians used 145 drones of various types, including Shahed drones.

As the President noted, during the week, the Russian army used more than 800 glide bombs (KABs), about 600 attack drones, and almost 20 missiles of various types to attack Ukraine.

On November 7, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that the Russian troops target Ukrainian energy infrastructure with Shahed drones to save up missiles Russia stockpiles at strategic aviation airfields.
