KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Jan 31 — The shelling of Kharkiv on January 30 damaged buildings in two districts. The Russian military hit a private residential building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv. In the Slobidskyi district, the Russian army struck the residential sector.
According to the Kharkiv City Council, utility companies continue to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
“In the Slobidskyi district, workers use special equipment to board up broken windows in residential buildings. In the Saltivskyi district, utility companies repair damaged roofs and cover damaged contours. Inspection of buildings for damage is ongoing,” the statement said.

What is known about the shelling of Kharkiv on January 30
On January 30, at around 10:40 pm, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv with drones. Law enforcement officers gathered the wreckage of the Geranium-2 unmanned aerial vehicle.
Geranium-2 [or Shahed 136, an Iranian kamikaze drone that can cover a distance of up to 2500 kilometers — ed.] drones hit a private residential building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv. The attack also damaged buildings in the Slobidskyi district.
A drone attack hit a residential area in the Slobidskyi district and injured an 85-year-old man. A 46-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. The medics treated them on the hit site. The Russian military damaged a non-residential building, a supermarket, cars, and a cafe. The attack smashed windows in high-rise buildings.
A UAV hit the territory of a private household in the Saltivskyi district. The owners of the house, a 58-year-old man and his 61-year-old wife, suffered an acute stress reaction and refused hospitalisation.
