RUSSIA, TAGANROG, Jan. 16 — Ukrainian forces confirmed the destruction of the Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog, which produces components for Russian attack drones, reported the Ukrainian Navy.
On the night of Jan. 13, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces attacked the Atlant Aero enterprise in Taganrog, Rostov region, with Ukrainian-made missiles, said the General Staff.
The Ukrainian Navy confirmed that Ukrainian forces destroyed some workshops within the plant, where they produced Molniya attack-and-reconnaissance drones and the details for Orion drones.
A 65-year-old woman, who worked there, died because of the attack on the Atlant Aero plant, claimed Yuri Slyusar, the governor of the Rostov region.
On Jan. 14, the Institute for the Study of War reported that Russia began equipping Molniya drones with Starlink terminals to increase their flight range to up to 230 kilometers (143 miles).
