UKRAINE, Feb 27 — On the night of February 27, Ukrainian Air Defence Forces shot down two Kh-59 guided missiles and 11 Shahed drones in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi, and Kirovohrad Oblasts.
The Strategic Communications Centre of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
StratСom said that at night, the Russian military launched Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh Oblast of Russia, four Kh-59 guided missiles, and one Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the temporarily occupied Kherson and Donetsk Oblasts. They also launched 13 Shahed strike drones from the Prymorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk Oblasts of Russia.
The Ukrainian military used fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Forces, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare equipment to repel the attack.
Several hundred mobile air defense groups in the Kharkiv Oblast shot down Shahed drones. The reinforcement of the groups is underway, said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, during a conversation with journalists.
