Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway agreed to provide Ukraine with about 80 American-made F-16 jets. Ukraine has been waiting for months to start using them, but delays in the delivery of the aircraft and pilot training have slowed the process.

Zelenskyy explained that the first batch of planes provided by Danmark were already shooting down Russian missiles, protecting Ukrainian infrastructure.

“Now our air shield has been strengthened even more. We could have prevented the Russian terror by now if all our partners had been so decisive,” the President said.

Altogether, Denmark promised to provide Ukraine with 19 fighter jets.
