President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announces a second wave of counterattacks on the Russian army, the German newspaper BILD reported.

Previously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were very cautious in their offensive, as there was a delay in the delivery of weapons from the West. However, now Ukrainian defenders are approaching the moment when they need to pick up the pace.

“Because we started a little later, we can say that Russia had more time to mine our country and establish several defense lines,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He further added that the army was acting cautiously so as not to spare military personnel and equipment, but suddenly made it clear: “However, I believe that today we are approaching the moment when the relevant measures can be taken faster, as we are reaching certain milestones in demining.”

This means that a new wave of attacks will begin if demining is thriving in some areas of the frontline.

In addition, Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel Serhii Baranov said that Ukrainian missile and artillery units account for about 90% of the occupiers’ losses, calling the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike groups a “fist of fire” of long-range Western weapons.

Researchers at the Institute for the Study of War note that these types of attacks are exhausting Russian troops as Ukraine prepares for a new stage of counteroffensive.
