UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Oct. 29 — Ukraine’s military downed over 90 Molniya drones that can carry FPV drones in the Kharkiv Oblast over the past week, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of the region, at a meeting with journalists.
In October, Russia hit Kharkiv with at least three FPV drones, carried by Molniya “mother drone” that expanded their range by transmitting a signal onto them.
Syniehubov said that Moniya drones that reach Kharkiv are “isolated incidents.” Most of them are destroyed physically or through electronic warfare (EW) methods.
He also added that authorities have documented a single instance of Russians using jet-powered glide bombs in Kharkiv Oblast: in the attack on Lozova.
