UKRAINE, Nov. 21 — On Nov. 20, Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff of the Russian forces, claimed that Russian troops occupied Kupainsk, east of Kharkiv oblast, and captured 80% of Vovchask, city north of the region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces denies these claims.

On Nov. 17, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson of the Joint Forces military group said that Russia planned to occupy Kupiansk up to Nov. 15 but failed in its task.

The General Staff of Ukraine says that the city is under Ukrainian control and the counter-sabotage operation is continuing in Kupiansk.

Gwara Media couldn’t independently verify what the situation in Kupiansk is.

As of Nov. 21, according to the map of DeepState war monitoring group, Ukrainian forces control the southern part of the Kupiansk, while the Russian forces captured the northern part of the city with advancement to the center of the city.
