UKRAINE, Jun 13 — Ukraine returned a group of children from the occupied territories and Russia as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, said Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson military administration, said that these boys and girls were forced to study by Russian propaganda programs, participate in pro-Russian activities, some survived “visits” by armed FSB officers and stayed in so-called re-education camps. “And all this is only because they are Ukrainians,” he said.
“Among them (returned children — ed.) is a girl forced to sing the Russian national anthem and draw a tricolor at school. Russian police wanted to put her on a supervision list for using the Ukrainian language. Also, a Russian beat and harassed a boy for being Ukrainian,” noted Andrii Yermak.
The Bring Kids Back UA thanked the partners who helped organize the mission and noted that they “will not stop until every Ukrainian is at home.”
