UKRAINE,  Aug 22 — Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops have destroyed 11,879 Ukrainian facilities. Among them, 52.2% are civilian buildings and infrastructure, reported Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia has destroyed more than 6,000 civilian objects, including residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and cultural and infrastructure facilities.

Oleksandr Syrskyi said that, on average, the Russian army attacks about 11 Ukrainian facilities per day.

Yesterday, at about 1:00 p.m., the Russian army attacked the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region with artillery, hitting a building of the village council and trapping three people under the rubble. Later, Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of Kharkiv region, reported that rescuers pulled one woman out of the rubble. She had light injuries.

  • The Russians shelled the village of Prykolote, killing two people and injuring six others. The shelling also caused furniture, structural elements, and the roof of the warehouse building to catch fire, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.
