On March 27, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) exposed the Russian Federal Security Service intelligence group.
The group prepared missile strikes on Ukrainian railways facilities and recruited personnel for the occupier administrations. Moreover, they were collecting data on the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The group operated on the territory of Kharkiv Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and Donetsk Oblast.
The intelligence group included eight men. According to the SSU, one of them was recruited by the honorary consul of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv.
“The aggressor involved other group members in secret cooperation remotely or during the participants’ trips to the Russian Federation. Each of them was given a pseudonym, and a conspiratorial legend was developed,” the message reads.
According to the SSU, four group members were detained, and four more are in the territory of the Russian Federation. They are suspected of treason.
Earlier, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office accused of treason a former police officer of the Kupiansk district police department.
