UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Oct 28 — Yesterday evening, Russian troops dropped glide bombs (KABs) on three districts of the city, including Saltivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Kyivskyi. The attacks injured six people.
The Russian army often attacks Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, because it’s close to the border and the frontline. Their attacks intensified significantly since Moscow launched a new ground offensive north of the Kharkiv region in May.
Russian attack injured three people in the Saltivskyi district of the city and three more were injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The Russian bomb attack destroyed one outbuilding and damaged 21 houses and four cars.
“First, we heard an explosion, but somewhere far away. And then, literally 30 seconds later, there was a second one. It was so loud that we fell to the floor. Everything shattered. We are safe,” said one of the residents of the damaged building.
Later, on the night of October 28, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv again, hitting the Kholodnohirskyi district. A shell hit a high-rise building, damaging the ceiling between the 8th and 9th floors. Three apartments were destroyed. This attack injured seven people, including a 16-year-old girl.
