UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, July 1 — At 6 a.m., the Russians dropped air bombs on a frontline settlement, Lisna Stinka, in the Kupiansk district, destroying a school, reported the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and airstrikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

The Russian bomb attack caused a fire that spread to 150 m2 in a school, with no casualties or injuries. In addition, the Russian strike damaged a House of Culture and a private sector in Lisna Stinka.

Rescuers and medics of the SES are working at the impact site of the bombing.

7,300 residents still live in the Kupiansk district, including 168 children.. The evacuation of civilians is underway. The situation in the community remains difficult but under control, said Andrii Besedin, head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration.
