UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Nov 7 – Since February 24, 2022, Russian attacks have damaged more than 8,300 residential buildings in Kharkiv, said Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Ukrainian TV.

The Russian army has been often attacking Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, since the start of the full-scale invasion because the city is close to the border and the frontline. Russians use various weapons like glide bombs, strike drones, and missiles to target civilian and critical infrastructure in Kharkiv.

According to Ihor Terekhov, the Russians damaged more than 4,800 multi-story residential buildings, and more than 3,500 houses suffered varying degrees of damage because of their attacks.

Terekhov also noted that in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, work is underway to mitigate the consequences of the November 3 Russian attack, which damaged a supermarket.

On November 5, the Russian army attacked the city of Kharkiv with a Shahed kamikaze drone, damaging a five-story apartment building and nearby cars and injuring three people.
