UKRAINE, Jul 22 — Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has damaged 1,642 medical facilities and destroyed another 99 in Ukraine, reported the Ministry of Health.

Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses in terms of damaged or destroyed healthcare facilities during the full-scale war.

Since February 24, 2022, 885 medical facilities that Russia damaged have been restored. Of these, 523 medical facilities have been fully restored, and another 362 have been partially restored.

Most have been restored in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv regions. These were mostly medical facilities in the deoccupied territories: they weren’t damaged severely, e.g. had broken windows, roofs, or damage to the facade.

On the morning of July 8, Russia launched a missile attack on Kyiv, hitting Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital, Okhmatdyt. The strike killed two and injured 32 people, including eight children, reported Kyiv City Military Administration.
