UKRAINE, KUPIANSK DISTRICT, Nov. 14 — Russian troops occupied Stepova Novoselivka, a village in the Kupiansk district, reports DeepState, Ukraine’s OSINT war tracking project that maintains a combat map of the Russia-Ukraine war. This village was previously marked as a grey area.

DeepState reported that Russians have advanced on the Kupiansk axis near Stepova Novoselivka, on Nov. 8. Their assault reached another point at H-26 (P-08 on Google Maps) highway.
The H-26 highway connects Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk. After Ukraine’s army’s Kharkiv counteroffensive in 2022, Russian troops were still occupying the southern and eastern sections of it. In 2024, Russia reached the Oskil river through Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, and Pischane, seizing another section of this road.
Russia intensified its offensive on Kupiansk this summer. Russia aims to surround and occupy Kupiansk and seize Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, a city to the south of Kupiansk, an important logistics and railway hub for the region. Currently, Ukraine’s army is trying to push Russian troops out of Kupiansk.
Gwara Media couldn’t independently confirm Russian occupation of Stepova Novoselivka.
