UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 21 — On August 21, Russian troops 10 times attacked Ukrainian positions in Kharkiv Oblast, reported the General Staff.

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked nine settlements in the region, killing two people in the Zolochiv community. They also destroyed or damaged three houses, a farm, and two cars in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, and Bohodukhiv districts.

North of Kharkiv, Russian troops attacked near Vovchansk, Khatnie, Ambarne, and Zapadne.

On the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian assaults near Holubivka and Kupiansk.

Geolocated footage of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) recorded Russian attacks north of Kharkiv near Vovchansk, Synelnykove, and on the south (left) bank of the Vovcha River on August 19 and 20.

Also, the ISW reported about Russian attacks near Kupiansk, Sobolivka, Myrne, Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Fyholivka, Kamyanka, and Stepova Novoselivka on August 19 and 20.

On August 21, Sultan Pashotov, a Russian soldier with the call sign Tyson, was sentenced to 11 years in prison in absentia for torturing civilians with electric shock in Balakliia.
