KHARKIV, UKRAINE, May 6 — On the afternoon of May 5, the Russian army dropped three glide bombs on Kharkiv, damaging high-rise buildings and private homes in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the attack injured 14 people. One woman has severe injuries. Two men and a woman are in the hospital with moderate injuries. Other victims received medical aid at the hit site.
“The enemy is cynically destroying the lives of Kharkiv residents. There are injured civilians, and the National Police and the State Emergency Service are inspecting the buildings [to document the damage]. [The destruction of the buildings] is severe. There were no military objects there,” commented Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
The mayor added that municipal workers started to cover up the smashed windows, repair damaged roofs, and restore water, gas, and electricity supply in the area.
