UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jan. 12 — On Jan. 11, Russian forces advanced in Vovchansk and Vilcha settlements in the northern part of the Kharkiv oblast, reported the DeepState OSINT war monitoring group.
Vovchansk, a city north of the Kharkiv oblast, was one of the main targets of a Russian offensive in May 2024. Currently, the city is completely destroyed, and combat clashes are still ongoing there.
Earlier, DeepState reported on Russian advances near Vilcha village, located south of Vovchansk.
On Jan. 11, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian attacks in the north of the Kharkiv oblast near Vovchansk, Hrafske, and Vilcha, said the General Staff.
The Institute for the Study of War also said that Russian forces continued their offensive operations northeast of Kharkiv City near Prylipka, Lyman, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Vovchanski Khutory, and Hrafske, on Jan. 10 and 11, but did not advance.
