UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Dec. 25 — On Dec. 25, the DeepState OSINT war monitoring group updated its map, which shows that Russian forces have advanced in Vovchansk, north of the Kharkiv region, and in the nearest Vilcha village.

Senior lieutenant of the Defence Forces with a call sign Alex also confirmed that Russian troops entered Vilcha, located east of Vovchansk.

“Ukrainian forces are trying to hold back the Russian advance mainly through the use of drones. In fact, this is the final indicator that control over Vovchansk has been lost,” said Alex.

At the same time, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson of the military group responsible for Kharkiv oblast, denied to Gwara Media the information about the loss of control over Vovchansk and Vilcha. He said that Ukrainian troops are present in both settlements.

Trehubov confirmed that Russian troops had been actively attacking Vilcha over the past few days and had suffered significant losses there.

Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War reported on Ukrainian advances on the Kupiansk axis.
