UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 9 — Over the past day, the Russian army carried out ten attacks on the Kharkiv region and one attack on Kharkiv, killing one person and injuring 16 others, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

On the evening of September 8, Russians shelled Derhachi using multiple rocket launchers, killing a 76-year-old woman. The shelling set a house on fire in an area of 100 m2. The shelling also injured 13 people, including an eight-year-old child who suffered an acute stress reaction. In total, the Russians damaged 28 houses, four garages, and five cars.

In addition, in the village of Berezivka, the Russian shelling caused the burning of grass over an area of three hectares and forest over the same area. The strike injured a 59-year-old man.

Russians shelled the town of Kupiansk twice that day, injuring a 56-year-old woman. Another Russian strike on the city damaged a private household.

Also, in the village of Hrushivka, Kupiansk district, the Russian attack injured a 16-year-old boy. The structural elements of a building caught fire due to the shelling.

In the village of Florynka, the Russians damaged four houses. In Novoosynove, the shelling caused outbuildings to catch fire, as well as one room in an apartment and grass in a cemetery on an area of one hectare. In Kolodiazne village, a Russian artillery attack burned a house.

In the aftermath of Russian attacks, buildings, greenery, and forests were burning in Zolochiv, Vyshche Solone, and Malynivka settlements in the Kharkiv region. 

In addition, at about 3:01 a.m. on September 9, the Russians attacked the Kyivsky district of Kharkiv. The shelling caused a garage and grass to burn, and a house was damaged.
