UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, July 30 — At about 6:40 a.m., the Russian army attacked Kupiansk, injuring a 71-year-old man. He is in the hospital, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Russian army launched an FPV drone strike on Kupiansk. They injured a 71-year-old man who was riding a bicycle in the city at the time.

Russian troops also shelled Pershotravneve village in Izium district, Lozova village in Chuhuiv district, and Khatnie village in Kupiansk district, Syniehubov added.

The Russian FPV drone strike in Pershotravneve caused a house to catch fire. The attack also damaged the outbuildings.

In Lozova, the shelling destroyed four houses and nine outbuildings and damaged 13 houses and 17 outbuildings. In addition, the Russian army dropped a glide bomb (KAB) on the village, damaging eight houses and a car.

Also, the Russian shelling damaged one house in the village of Khatnie.
