UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 29 — Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region injured 17 people over the past day, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

On August 28, the Russians hit Kupiansk with an airstrike, injuring at least 17 people. People are in the hospital with light and moderate injuries. 

The airstrike caused an 80 m² house to catch fire. It damaged the building of the Kupiansk military administration, five-story residential buildings, a hotel, a prosecutor’s office and court building, and other civilian infrastructure. 

Also, at night, the Russian army attacked the village of Odnorobivka, damaging houses and outbuildings. 

On August 28, the Russian military shelled the villages of the Kupiansk district, including Novoosynove, Sobolivka, Doroshivka, Horiane, and the city of Kupiansk. The Russians also attacked the villages of the Izium district, including Balakliia and Prybysh. 

The shelling in the Nova Vodolaha community damaged houses and caused the grass to catch fire.
