UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 14 —  Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region damaged 311 heating facilities and 141 water supply facilities, reported the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast, said that the region’s social sphere, housing, heating, water supply, and sewerage facilities are on standby. Work is also underway to decentralize heating.

In addition, he added that enterprises in the region have received more than 1,000 high-capacity generators.

The United Nations reported that in September, at least 30 Russian attacks damaged or destroyed 25 energy infrastructure facilities on the territory controlled by Ukraine and another five on the territory occupied by Russia.
