UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Nov 4 – In October, Russian attacks on Kharkiv damaged 380 residential buildings, reported Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

The Russian army often attacks Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second city, because it’s close to the border and the frontline. They use various weapons like glide bombs, strike drones, and missiles to target civilian and critical infrastructure.

According to Ihor Terekhov, these attacks smashed 4,648 windows in residential apartments and damaged 160 roofs.

Russian attacks also smashed 1,723 windows in public buildings (like cafés and grocery stores) and damaged 789 balcony windows.

Terekhov also said the repairs are ongoing: the municipal workers have already covered 4,273 broken windows in apartments and 1,548 in public places. In addition, they have repaired 103 roofs and 698 balcony windows.

More than 450 municipal service workers were involved in cleaning up the aftermath of attacks, using up to 50 units of special equipment.
