UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 28 — At around 10:00 p.m. on August 27, the Russian army shelled Izium, Kharkiv region, from multiple rocket launcher system (MRLS), injuring 12 people, including five children, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

In the aftermath of the Russian strike, one person is in the hospital, and seven people suffered an acute stress reaction, including four children aged three, five, eight, and 16. Another two people got light injuries, and two people sustained cuts to their limbs, including one child aged 13.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, Russia used a long-range Tornado MRLS Russian attack also damaging houses and a baking enterprise.

On August 20, Oleh Syniehubov said that during the last six months, Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region have killed 293 people, including 15 children.
