UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jul 5 — Over the past day, there were 19 combat clashes in the Kharkiv direction. The Russian military lost 135 troops on this axis over the past day, reported the Kharkiv group of forces.

Russia started their new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)

The military says that one of the hottest spots in the Kharkiv direction is near Hlyboke village, where the Russian army is deploying personnel from the 11th and 79th Motorized Rifle Regiments and the 18th Motorized Rifle Division.

The Kharkiv group of forces informs that combat also continues near Lyptsi, Vovchansk, and Sotnytskyi Kozachok.

In addition, in the Kharkiv direction, the Ukrainian military destroyed and damaged three Russian tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, five artillery systems, six vehicles, and 65 unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 52 shelters for Russian troops, one unmanned aerial vehicle launch pad, and an ammunition storage facility.
