UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, June 27 — Russian troops have shelled gas pipelines in 13 residential buildings of the Kupiansk and Vilkhivka communities in Kharkiv Oblast, during the past few days, reported gas distribution company operating in the region, Gazmerezhi.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and airstrikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

The Russian shelling also damaged a gas distribution line supplying gas to one of the villages in the Borova community. The gas network’s employees have repaired it there. . 

Gazmerezhi continues to repair the damaged infrastructure in places where it is possible to do so. There is no information on when repairs will be fully completed.  

In total, Russian armed aggression damaged gas pipelines in nine communities of the region:Liubotyn, Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk, Zolochiv, Derhachi, Lyptsi, Rohan, Zmiiv and Chuhuiv.

  • On the afternoon of June 26, Russian troops hit Derhachi in the Kharkiv region with airstrikes, damaging about 65 houses, outbuildings, a shopping center, and cars. The attack injured 12 people, reported Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv Oblast Governor.
